The texture can make surface imperfections more difficult to spot with the naked eye, but professional graders will catch them, which means that cards which look perfect to a casual viewer may still receive grades below PSA 10 or BGS 9.5
Sting is a great Flash artifact that is best played when your opponent's board is stacked with tapped creatures, but with a two-mana cost and a three-mana attach fee, it really could do with something else, like granting First Strike, to be a lock for competitive play
